The problem with a stingray tail is that it would make them very similar to the pakpaos from Kitue. 
I like the idea of making them elemental, or having a different pose altogether. C:

They could always be related to pakpaos? You said in the entry that they weren't actually birds, they just do sky things

A new pose could be really helpful for you figuring things out with them, though I'm really happy with the way they are rn so I personally wouldn't want too drastic of a change
