I'm sure yours will turn out fine! I always have to remind myself of the basics when I sit down to do gestures- establish a quick head circle with some sort of directionality to it, find the sweeping line of action that flows out of the base of that circle and through the spine, then look for the points in that line where the lines of the limbs flow out of it. Even if the end result is just a handful of noodly lines, you've still established something that reads as a human pose, like a stick figure with real life injected into it. That kind of abstract yet relatable energy is my favourite part to see.
