I nevered used those filters so i don't know if they have been replaced or renamed ?
For filters go to ~Gimp.org they have everyone ever made
To install a filter just open a terminal and do this more or less
cd to where ever you downloaded it to
gimptool --install-bin "plugins name"

no need to be root i should add as it should add it to your own folders

I think I rather over do it on that Random Blend filter. But the effect are spectacular sometimes. I set 2048x1536 images up to 200+ sometimes, that takes some times 5-8 hours! I've learned how to save Custom made Gradiants! Since I've been installing and re-installing different distros for the last few days. I even just had the newest Fedora core 1 on for 2 days. I could not figure out how to access the Windows Drives. So I wiped it out and started again with SuSE 8.0.
BTW, I have one rendering in the background now, as I do other things. Would you like any kind of a Name Wallpaper

Thanks....I just did. You might save me some reading about gimp 1.3-2 in my latest SuSE Linux 9 ? Not one, but 2 of my favorite tools or filters are gone. Mirror Image and Random Blends? Can I put them back in? If you know?

Only in that they took my handle when I asked them not to when they were first distributing CDs (when it was just a couple of guys I met at a trade show).

I have worked on the kernel, xfree86, the gimp, gnome libraries, and spent a good deal of time writing imlib, enlightenment, etc, however.
