Well, I finally got around to clearing the Kick Me Challenge in Godhand, and I've started on Hard mode. 
...Though to be fair, I did choose to just turn off the game and go to sleep once. I did this after probably 20 Continues in "Sneak Into Elvis' Crib." I swear, that room with the waves of thugs, big thugs, fatties, midgets, and random demons didn't even PRETEND to be fair.

Do you mean you started the KMS run on Hard Mode too? If you do, then you've got a better work ethic than me. Congrats on beating Stage 1 with so few continues though. I think I got about 35 on it. But then again, I tend to try the same strategy several times in a row before I realize I'm not just being screwed by random numbers. But luckily the game gets easier with every stage.
I've been exploring every nook and cranny of Fire Emblem DS lately. On Sunday I beat Fire Emblem DS on Hard Mode 5- a gauntlet where anything that isn't a General with maxed defense will probably get killed in 2 hits, reinforcements appear in droves and attack you the turn they appear, and enemies in the last chapters carry Brave weapons. (It's especially fun when you're being charged by a mob of pirates, because you can't bottleneck them around bridges. )
Are you planning to get MadWorld? I've gotta pick that up this weekend.

Naw, I did the Kick Me Challenge and Hard Mode separately.
And I actually had no idea that MadWorld was coming out so soon. Originally I wasn't planning on getting it, but Godhand and Viewtiful Joe have made me a die-hard Clover/Platinum Games fan, so I may well wind up changing my mind.

I've heard that it's more accurately compared to Godhand than No More Heroes. It's extremely violent, but it's all executed with a hearty dose of humor. How many games let you play darts by throwing people at a spiked wall?

And actually, the violence was what was turning me away from it in the first place. I've never really been one for the ultraviolent games, see. Though I admit, years of reading manga have made me more open to the idea.

In an FAQ I once read, the author listed the opponent in Arena match 51 as "Alexander, the original Godhand."
When I got to that fight, my first reaction was:
"......YOU'RE NOT ALEXANDER!"

After all, it's pretty hard to beat him if you're not brutal and ruthless.

Yeesh, that Arena Match 51 is one tough customer. I still haven't been able to beat him down. Best I've gotten in my training is taking out about 1/3 of his health. ...Mind, I'm trying to get in some practice with pure brawling, to see how far I can build up my Godhand meter without any tricks or anything. No Roulette Wheel, no Godhand, no cheesy spam moves... just dodging and punching normally, and running like a pansy when he goes uber.
'Course, the best I've gotten is 3/4 of a Godhand meter like that. I admit, on my best run where I got down 1/3 of his health, I used a -wee- bit of my "Chain Yanker -> Yes Man Kablaam -> Pummel" cheese. >_> Just two wheels' worth.
I should probably invest in Enlightenment. Extra life is good...

Actually, Enlightenment really isn't worth it. In most cases where you need to stay alive longer, you can get around that with a Shaolin Blast or 3 Chain Yankers for 3 free Godhands. Besides, on somebody like Gene, he'll beat you right back down to where you were before anyway.
You can also land a Yes Man Kablaam as he's unleashing or sealing his Godhands. I haven't beaten him yet either, but I've been distracted with Hard Mode and the Kick Me Sign challenge. (God forbid I do both of those at once.) Fighting the 3 Evil Stooges the second time was brutal, but Azel was a joke after doing the arena.

Yeah, I figured I could Yes Man Kablaam him, but after a while it felt like it wasn't really worth the risk. After all, hits from Gene in Godhand = doom. If I was close enough, I'd get in a few jabs before promptly running around the arena in circles like a pansy until his Godhand wore off.
I'm happy to say, though, that I FINALLY BEAT HIM! 
I swear, that must've been the toughest boss fight I've ever done. ...And I've beaten IWBTG.

I'll have to do the same this weekend. I've got a strategy, I just have been having too much fun with the other challenges. I've already gotten some good brawling practice from Devilhand and the Kick Me Sign Challenge (No roulette, no Godhand) so far.

I gotta say, Azel is a pansy compared to Gene.
Azel will toss out a few basic combos, plus some stuff like Shockwave, Head Slicer, Daisy Cutter, and Kung Fu Samba... plus the occasional Shaolin Blast. Hard to dodge, but you can get into a decent pattern.
Gene, however, will pull out Head Slicer, Shockwave 2, La Bomba 2, Kung Fu Samba, Daisy Cutter, Discombobulator, Double Shaolin, Dash Kick, Half-Moon Kick, Pummel Barrages, Step Back Kick, and an absurd number of other combos that'll come out of nowhere. So it's just a -tad- bit harder to predict what he's going to do.

Azel is also a joke in the main game after you're used to him in the arena.
Ever try finishing of Azel in Stage 4 with a jar? It breaks in slow motion.

Another fun thing to do is play 3 ball Human Tennis with a 2X4, a bunch of thugs in formation, a nearby wall, and the triangle button. They'll keep getting nocked away and running right back to you in the same formation. (Try it on either the first level or on 8-1. )

Ever try bunching up the Mad Midget Five then hitting them with Home Run God? That's majesty at its highest, my friend.
Also, if you finish one of the MMV after using Stake Driver, they'll stay stuck in the ground instead of lieing on their stomachs.

Yeah, I noticed that. I get so used to dodging Kung Fu Tango, Shaolin Blast, and Head Slicer that I get sucker punched by La Bomba and Discombobulator every time.
And you can only get so far from Drunken Twist spamming. I'm thinking I'll just save up until I can get Fist of God and then beat him that way.
But no matter how many times I die fighting Gene, he's still not 1/10th as frustrating as level 7-2 on Hard Mode.

Ah, yes, that request. Sorry, I've had some pretty busy weeks, that's why I haven't finished it yet. I can handle it no problem, I just haven't started it yet. It'll be done by the end of the month, though.
Yeah, I'm going to miss drawing the comic just as much as some of you are going to miss reading it. But I wouldn't have done it if I didn't thouroughly consider the alternatives. I believe I'm taking a more reasonable path, and I thank you for the vote of confidence on the novel.
There'll still be some quick comics related to the novel, too. Mostly 4-panel stuff, and 1-or-2 page stories, but this isn't the last from me.
