No! I think you have a great eye for detail and your drawings are always lush and very attractive to look at. Plus you do one thing very well that I greatly respect: perspective.
You are essentially right though: it's something I noticed too, that the more you do it, the better you develop skills. ( Compare my first fresme pic, Breaking Dawn for instance to my latest...ugh)True for many things in life. *waggles eyebrows*
I definitely think you should draw more, but I understand that it must be hard to find spare time as a mommy. Respect! (how's the sprog today? )

I keep a list of ideas that I would like to draw in the future. In the mean time, my muse is being stroked by some very wonderful friends/artists here on this site.

Ah, keep the muse fired up, you! I sometimes get out of bed in the middle of the friggin night just to jot some thing down or to sketch something. Much to the annoyance of my better half, mind you. But I can't help myself, when the Muse whispers filth into my ear, I have to obey..

Sometimes the best ideas come when you're in bed about to fall asleep! At least you're willing to get up out of bed to write it down!
Do you use watercolors or Prisma markers for your art? You don't use colored pencils that's for sure...At least it doesn't look like it!!

I do actually!
The last two I've done are built up like this: First I start with a sketch, which I then ink with a biro pen (like a bic pen). I use this because I know it doesn't react with the colored inks I'm using after that. You can see the stuff I'm using here: [link]
When I'm done coloring, I ink the lines of the drawing again with a fine-liner, this makes the drawing come to life the most, IMHO.
For the last touch ups and shading I use either watercolour pencils or normal pencils, I have accumulated several hundred of them over the years! ( they make for lovely birth-day gifts and we have a big shop down-town that specializes in arts and crafts, my personal Mojo- heaven! In "The Broken Judge" for instance, all his bruising is done by pencil.
Oh, and I nearly forgot, I use special heavy cold-pressed paper for my stuff, I don't want it to shrivel or distort

Wow, I do a sketch and then I ink the lines with a sharpie pen. Then I color the pic with a base color (which is lighter) and then I do the shading. Art is freaking time consuming & expensive, but it's so worth it in the end.

Do you also look at art work and study detail obsessively? I'm really obsessive about shading and stuff. Drawing/coloring is a hit or miss thing.

That's absolutely true, the more you do it, the more you get it "in your fingers", so to speak. A couple of the photostock Irons! Frollo's I've drawn have taught me a lot about how shadows work too on the male form ( hmmm).

He's doing lovely! I went to the docs today and listened to his little rapid heartbeat. Me? I'm not doing so hot. I've been battling depression for almost this entire pregnancy. It's quite bad at the moment with the holidays, money, and issues with my parents. At least I can go to bed in a few and have some sort of an escape!!

But honestly, I can relate. My family is in tatters at the moment as my brother is divorcing his wife. So I don't think we've got a happy holiday month coming up. My b-day is looming around the corner as well...I'll just have to play it by ear and see if any of my family are up for celebrating. But probably not. 
I sometimes feel as if a want to go in a hibernation-mde: wake me up when april comes. Hmmm...Spring!

Yeah, it's rotten. They've got two small boys.It's...difficult, to say the least. I know apparently each in three marriage end in divorce, but statistics never really make anyone feel better, imho.
