Did you get my reply note? It was about Colors! 3D, primarily. I don't know how that works exactly.

My apologies. Allow me to clarify. I commiserate with you regarding the death of Swapnote. I need to be more specific as to what I'm referencing or responding to. I'll try to do better in the future. Unless you were confused about Colors! 3D? The exclamatory punctuation is part of the application's name. I wasn't asking '3D at all?' as the exclamation point and 3D are part of the application's name. I'm sure you've heard of it, it's pretty awesome IMO. Hope this helps to clarify things. I'll talk to you later if this is something you desire. If not, good bye foreveeeeeeer .... FOR-E-VER. Sandlot.

Aye, I'm not an owner of the 3ds so my gripe was more about treating us like adults and having some respect for us gamers instead of just punishing everyone because of a few bad apples.
Basically it's like a few people crashed too much and they took everyone's driver's licenses away.
IMO that offenders of these type should be banned from ever having access to children by making them register their consoles and PC's as known malcontents.
Sorry, I've never used "Colors! 3D" although I would not want impinge on your excitedness about this program, please tell me more!

I think your solution to the abuse problem might in fact work. It is always difficult to maintain the image of being appropriate for people of all ages, which Nintendo seeks to do, while avoiding any of the plethora of things disadvantageous to all, like shutting down spotpass for Swapnote.
But more about Colors! 3D: Colors! 3D is the first and only digital art software that I've ever used. Therefore I don't know what other software offers in terms of features. For instance I don't know if any software you use incorporates branching. Branching is a feature of Colors! 3D that allows you to use an existing work to create a new work without having to redo elements of the previous work that you'd like to maintain (it is like copying from an earlier point in the work). This is possible because Colors! 3D has playback, which is to say, it records all of your strokes (painting and erasing) in the order that you do them, on the layers that you do them on. It is like replay, but for the entire work of art. It is basically a Total Recall. I'll hopefully find time to explain this further in my profile journal in the days to come. Colors! 3D is an awesome easy-to-use application, and it only costs $7 (that is $6.99, in the U.S.) (you'll need a 3DS to get it though, and that costs $150 [that is $149 and some odd change at some retailers in the U.S.]). But there is Colors for iOS and Android too (just not in 3D), if you already have a phone with that software. If you acquire Colors! 3D, you can see exactly how I do my paintings, from the very beginning to the very end, and also whether or not I traced (which I have not yet done), as that is recorded also (again I can explain this more at a later time if you desire). I say 'I,' but you can in fact do it for any of the tens of thousands of 3DS artists who have a Colorslive profile and upload art to it. And you can see them in glorious 3D to boot. It's pretty sweet IMO. The Colors! application was only made available to 3DS users last year, and the library has burgeoned since. There are many other users who contribute art they have made on their DS, Android, or iOS iPad, iPhone or iPod touch devices. They are many also. It is available for PS Vita as well, but I have yet to encounter a single piece of artwork made on said device, for whatever reason. In total there are over 2 million paintings (probably more right now) that have been uploaded by more than 100,000 artists, most of whom have joined since it was made available for 3DS. Many of the artists who do their work on other devices are regrettably inactive, but this is to be expected since the software has been around since 2007, and until the 3DS was incorporated none of the art had the same 'pop' as it were.
I am not a paid spokesperson for Collecting Smiles (who developed colors), Jens Andersson (its creator), or the Colors Team (who oversee it). I am just a big fan of this software. Though it has had several updates, for the most part representing marked improvements, when a true sequel is developed, presumably at a higher price point, with more layers and brushes and functions and tools, you can be sure that it will knock anyone's socks off. If I had 20 layers with which to make a 3D image, I could make it seem like an in-game screenshot, and give it depth while also making it project out 'in-your-face.' That is what I hope for in this next year. I forgot one more thing you might want to acquire if you were ever to seriously consider Colors! 3D, and that is an SD card (one comes with the 3DS, but it's only 4 GB). These are about the quarter of the price they were two and a half years ago. You can now get an SDHC 16 GB card for less than $30, with faster speeds and larger capacities going for more (and slower speeds or smaller capacities going for less, but you can't get less than 4 GB anymore except in specialty camera stores, and they go for about $10). Hope this helps. See ya around LDCH. What is the meaning of your name BTW?

Wow that sounds amazing, not much of an artist myself.
My username? Well back in 2000 i was really into cheat codes. my username back then was CodeHunter (original huh? I was young and stupid. and also the Matrix) So after awhile of trying to learn how to hack codes for gamecube the forums i was apart of got hacked and destroyed.
So once they got back up I had to choose a username, i thought "CodeHunter" was bland and unoriginal. So I decided to edge it up a bit and add Demon and drop the HunterΒ for "CodeDemon" where as in my mind I was wrecking the game to find a little piece of treasure. also being a teenager edgy was expected.
Forums got wrecked again and had to choose another username, I was a huge fan of Dark Angel the TV Show. But i didn't want to be another "xXx Dark Angel boy 6542 xXx" So I decided I would be a Light Demon. everything opposite of Dark Angel in my fight to find out who I was. Where Dark Angel was driven purely by raw emotion, self entitlement, and absolute love of bloodshed making her as evil as the evil she was slaying.
My fight would be to perfectly logical, humility, and abhor bloodshed while espousing the darker side of life with a flashlight and understanding both sides before coming to a conclusion.
To punish every bad person even those that claim they are good, to espouse truth, justice, liberty and fight censorship and bad decisions. To destroy double standards, catch 22's, and promote information and logic over all.
Liberty, Love, Truth, Justice.
Liberty for how can you know freedom unless you know you have free will.
Love w/o liberty is slavery.
Truth are the absolute facts.
Justice is the weighing of Love and Truth
And then I discovered this art site and tried to register my combined username "LightDemonCodeHunter" it had shortened it to my current name because it was too long. So in essence my current username is a fusion of all my other names reminding me of where I came from and where I'm going.
