I've asked the same question many times about the lack of a fanart section in the 3D categories. Sometimes I think I am the only one that does pieces that are 3D fanart...

I use several programs. Basically I use a lot of Wings3d, 3DSMax, Poser, Poseray, Povray, PIBL, and Photoshop. You can check out the mini-faq in my sig for more info on the programs.

Well now... That is a hard question to answer. 3DSMax takes the approach of building objects up from primitives. Wings takes primitives and subdivides them. It really depends on which method better suits your ways of visualizing the world. Personally, Wings works better for me as I tend to see things in their base shapes. I find it easier to subdivide objects.

so I find it that you like well ... character modeling better in wings b/c of the fact that wings does or already has some of the basic polygonal build already done to where, you just have to basically mold it into your own image texturing(wraping and unwraping), coloring etc...
