i'd like to try my hand in this digital abstract 3d style -- any recommendations on where to start? all i have is photoshop CS and corel painter, i dont know what kind of software is involved

hey thanks -- i really dig this style of art you have in your gallery, i've seen a few others too, its kind of this collection of digital abstract shards of shape and color...i dont know what to call it though
what kind of program do you use to do those? and is it very difficult to get the hang of? i'd love to be able to try my hand at it but i just don't know where to start

I use Cinema4D and Bryce(sometimes)
