I just did a signing at Mo-Kan....I sold out of those PVN Annual 1s....that was so wild!

(That just means more people get to stare at your cover art!)



And I got to eat some pizza with the Groo people....so yeah, I had a great weekend, as you can tell! LOL!

Yeah I'll be back in may for A-kon and then back again for ComicCon and then at the offices for a week. All going to plan that is.
I'd like to do a longer stint though. Just gotta see what funds I can gather. Also I have to bring some decent work with me this time round.

Well, that could cover a wide variety of things you should be aware of as a colorist. I would say the best thing you could is be observant of how lighting and color work in your everyday life. Make note of how certain lighting conditions change color temperature, I.E. cool colors versus warm colors. Then try what you've learned and apply it to story. You have to tell a story in this business and that a goes for everyone, even colorists.

This is really a hard thing to explain. I can tell you tech stuff all day long, but you really have to learn to "see" it for yourself. Next time your walking around or grabbing a drink with friends, just be aware of how light is affecting your surroundings.
