How have the holidays been for you?

ahh they were ok ^^
we've mainly gone on day trips this year near where I live.
first we went to Bakewell to get some traditional Bakewell tarts (which are SO FATTY. probably the most unhealthiest thing I've eaten in ages DX) we also got the tarts without the icing which I really like
we also went to matlock bath which is were the hights of heibraham is, (cable cars that go up the rocky hills) But we just ended up having fish and chips from our favorite place because my brother is afraid of heights.
The most memorable trip would be our attempt to go on holiday. we got drenched in a couple of hours camping near the east coast when trying to set up our tent and bombarded by flying ants and giant moths when we made dinner. We did end up going to the beach though, which was nice. But on the way home they closed all of the main bridges without creating diversions, and I got pretty peeved as the navigator. There are no real motorways to the east coast from where I live which means that tractors are constantly slowing down the traffic and we had to take a 50+ mile detour to the north just to get to the south meaning the journey took well over 3 hours when It should've taken around 2
we nearly saw someone crash when they tried to overtake a tractor, and we nearly died on the way home because of someones stupid driving.
needless to say, my dad doesn't want to go to the east coast for a while. which doesn't bother me too much since I prefer the west and south coast. (sorry I'm rambling what im trying to say is lots of stuff happened)

XD It sounds like I had a similar experience... A couple of weeks ago I went camping in the Forest of Dean (Next to Wales) with my explorer Unit. The one day it decided to rain torrentially was when we got there and had to put the tents up. And somehow, ours was the only one affected by the gale-force winds and flood-worthy rain (I may be exaggerating a teeny bit) so one side of our tent collapsed onto the inner and soaked all of our stuff! It was ok the rest of the week, though
Ah, you got the moths we got the wasps. They were EVERYWHERE. I'm surprised how few people were stung by them!
That sounds horrible :/. We spent the journey home from camp finishing our game of D&D and not really paying any attention to the outside world... (We had a coach, it was nice
One of the best bits was field archery. We were in smallish groups with a couple of bows between us and four arrows each. I managed to lose one of mine during the practice
Yeah, Normandy was amazing too XD.
The best thing I've done this holiday... I went to Cardiff Comic con!!!! It was brilliant

Awesome! I'm glad you had a good time on the holidays (well apart from the masses of wasps and the rain XD) I have a phobia of wasps so I just end up running around like a headless chicken when I see them
I've never really done anything like archery before, its the kinda thing my brother's better at than me. It sounds really fun though! I would've definitely lost all the arrows if I was doing something like that too.
Wow! I've never been to a convention, but a few of my friends have been before. I would really like to go to one someday

Eek. Sounds like work... My school's alright at the moment. The homework isn't too bad, although as it gets closer to mocks and stuff it's going to be difficult. I'm trying to limit the number of after school activities I do. We've got proper Maths exams in November so since we got back after the summer we've had to do a practice paper for Homework every week. With that and the fact that I decided to take more maths- it's a lvl 2 qualification in Further maths (Stupid me) - I'm pretty swamped with Maths these days. Although I did take Animation this year, which is turning out to be pretty cool

Geez.. Its been a while... I'm really sorry, I got a bad case of art block from drawing so much DX most of it was for schoolwork so I have no proof of it for here which is a pain 
At the moment I'm doing graphics, and history as options, English and science for my core subjects.
I've got my grades on maths, art and french so far which were all high grade passes :3
I also managed to get a place in college for next year for games design and development (well as long as I get two more high grade passes
I'm guessing you've sat your maths exam already, but I bet you did great! You must have nerves of steel in exams, regarding that you took extra maths... (shudders) We had the option to take extra but it was only available to year 10's not 11's (and even then I'm not very confident at maths. I get good grades, but I have to work hard to get them.)
Seems scary the amount of work you have to do for exams! D: Our mock exams are coming up now. English and history are gonna be a killer this year considering how much you have to write in such a short space of time, I always get bad pains in my hands because of those exams...
When we did maths we had more lessons so we revised then instead. We had 1 test and revision lesson on Friday for 2 hours DX
and yet I've forgotten how to complete the square and simplify quadratic equations...
Animation sounds cool! its not an option at my school because the building are decrepit and they get a new building after we leave so it would only be an option for year 9's if they brought it in, which it a bit of a shame, but it apparently it might be part of the gaming course to animate. I'll have to wait and see!
