You know, I came here to say thanks for the fav but I couldn't help reading over your journal. I'm very sorry for your loss.

A few months ago, even a year ago, I would have probably read over it and thought, "Why? Why are people always so emotional over their pets? It was just a dog/cat/bird/whatever."

But I've had the experience of saving two puppies from the pound and watching them grow, and my eyes were a little more opened. It's like they all have their own personalities, their own shine just like individual people. And it's easy to get attached. They're our babies, almost, even sometimes our siblings. I still have my dogs today, and they're chubby grown mixed black labs that happily wag their tails everyday, but I see them as more now. They're my kin, just like every other animal on this planet should be to people - we cohabit this world together, and I can only imagine how hard it must have been for you to lose one so young so soon.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss and I thank you deeply for the fav. Your art is wonderful as well.
