I know it'sΒ illegal to make any money off of copy righted characters so, how do you get the license ? You ask the company, which they will shut you down, or you do it anyways and risk a DMCA. Most artists do that. Someone sold Mii Fighter custom cards and Nintendo shut them down, so you just have to be wary. :/

Yeah not a problem. You can still sell fan art since a lot of people do it at conventions. Just be cautious. Accept it when a DMCA comes and stop lol
