get sai
technically you can get it for free
but the free version has all kinds of problems
you'll also need a tablet
you can buy a small, cheap bamboo for now
i wouldn't recommend trying to learn with a mouse
it's just not a good idea
also, if you don't want sai
really any professional drawing/paint software is fine for practice
so yep
AND
if you can't get those things,
honestly,
just draw traditionally
and don't just
copy art by good artists
try and use those pictures for reference,
but create something unique and completely your own!!
you can buy some lineart pens
and prismas/copics and good colored pencils
yep
AND MOTIVATION
look at something beautiful
and think
Man, I really wanna make something as meaningful and lovely as that!!
and try
keep trying
don't get discouraged
KEEP LOOKING AT YOUR FLAWS
and instead of thinking: ew. i suck. i just won't get as good as i want to
think: Wow! that is really a step forward from where i was last time! i like how ____ came out. i could really work on ____ and ____ing though..
i'll do it differently next time!
