Yeah, Carla's always been one of my favorites :3. But when I looked for fanfics with her as the, or one of the main characters: there was hardly any, if only a few fanfics that centered on her; even most of the AU's still had her perishing in Shiganishina. Which I found surprising, considering the great potential there is for a 'what if Carla hadn't died' AU: it just seemed obvious to me

Carla won't be the main character per se, but she will play one of the main protagonist's: I won't spoil it for you, but its going to be one hell of an adventure for her

It's interesting to think about the effect on Eren; would he be calmer and less vengeful, or would he be more rebellious and stubborn with Carla still around?

I haven't got around to reading the manga (maybe one day!), but I am eagerly awaiting the second season of the anime. Maybe then I'd understand a fair bit more about the titains.

The moment Eren is reunited with his mum has been dancing around my head nonstop since I started drafting the story, and honestly, I still don't know how he's going to take it!  

I mean, loosing him mum was BIG factor in shaping his life; it's what drove him in his military training, it's what made him push himself to succeed, and it's what haunts him in his moments of self-doubt and reminds him of why he must do what he's chosen to do.  To find out she's alive after five years since that day in Shiganshina? ...OMG I just- NCJIWOEMAFNHBNRELAHFREHWHTRWENXGBWJRW!!!!!!

And vice versa for Carla, discovering her son is alive?! OMG the feels will be epic   but at least they'll be the happy kind of feels. God only knows, after all the death and travesty my feels have had to endure while reading the manga, there ain't no way in hell I'm subjecting my readers to that kind of torture.

BTW: do the read the manga, it's about 82 chapters thus far so it's pretty long, but I promise you won't be disappointed! the story itself keeps you on tender hooks, and the characters are all well constructed: but do be warned, your feels will be put through the wringer. But its worth it for an epic story like AoT.
