The Steelers are jinxed because the Broncs are going to OWN them, not because of your comment. You can't put the hurt on Peyton and not pay for it, by universal decree, later.

So what's the wager gonna be? I think it should be art related and require whoever's team loses to create something commemorating the SHAMEFUL loss.

Hmm, let's see, who has won TWO Superbowls in the last 10 years, and who has won ZERO?

It's bad luck in some cultures.
But, personally, I've always liked it.

Thanks for the on "When First Her Gentle Fingers." Sonnets are fun to write, but not that many people read them, it seems.

No, unfortunately it seems like people don't find sonnets very accessible now, and some kind of poisonous education early in life really ruins them for people. It's too bad, because they don't have to be "difficult" or thematically repetitive, but it seems like people think they are. I think anyone who really encountered a good translation of somebody like Petrarch or Dante would be very pleased with what they found. Have you heard of Ausias March? Didn't exactly write sonnets, but is responsible for some insanely beautiful work.

I googled him, but all I found were translations that were not particularly poetic. I think the trouble with sonnets for most American audiences, especially young ones, is that they require careful listening to understand, and good vocabulary and patience to write. It's also preconceptions, of course, but it's a very sad preconception that anything requiring much mental effort is going to be boring.

Thanks so much for the . I am honored, and delighted to encounter another lover of Pushkin, and of several other fine writers I admire. By all means, we shall have to keep in touch, so I'd better put you on my list as well.

Yeh Mattew 7:3-5
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye
You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
Makes Puskins take funnier..I'm a *great* lover of satire

I don't know how well Joe would take that. I can get away with it because Big K's (haha, what?) middle name is Nicholas. It gets a little weird when I have dreams about Justin Timberlake though. I sleep on the couch those nights.
