What made you make that Bokeh image a Daily Deviation?
No offence but that's the worst chosen Daily Deviation of all time.

There is no originality involved, bokeh's are way too common.
There is no real skill involved, I once used the exact same tutorial to produce something like that, except with different colours - which shouldn't be a distinguishing factor.
There is no creativity involved, the distribution of the elements - which is just one, actually - is random and not chosen at all.

I have to ask. You've been here for 7 years. What made you do this?
It makes me lose faith in deviantART even more than the loss of the News Section.

Terribly sorry that you dislike it, its not to everyones taste.

I chose it because as a texture, in the resource gallery it is a highly usable piece. You'll find this is why most stock and resources are selected. Not because they are finished items, but because of the potential they have to become something else in anothers hands.

Im quite sure my one DD pick is not the cause of your total zomg lack of faith in Deviantart and trying to guilt trip me into feeling like shit because you didn't happen to like something that I did, well it wont work. I stand by my choice and have complete confidence in the piece as a resource.

This person and several others also commented on the Deviation saying it didn't deserve it. Since it's against site guidelines, I thought an admin should be alerted.

With all due respect ShellDevil - I'm not even sure this is in your jurisdiction - when will DA start getting serious about warning/potentially temp banning people who ignore that rule? It's extremely rude and hurtful to the artist.

There is nothing I as a CV can do, I am only a volunteer and not admin/staff. Thankyou for bringing it to my attention.

Frankly people need to just get over themselves, if the only thing they have to worry about is what gets featured for one day on an art site, they must have pretty cosy lives.

I did! Someone sent me a note notifying me of stock use, and added congrats, 'spect you're sorting a lot of messages since you got that DD. At that stage I didn't realise I had. I'm still sorting messages, it says 800, I get through 100, and it still seems to sit on 800.

But I feel very honoured to have received this award. Very special, and happy.

i think you should keep your stock rules the same, i feel like if you didn't people would be more likely to claim your work as their own when manipulating it into what they want, you know?
