LOL! It's funny 'cause it's an actual thing "Microbial Organic Acids Test" X'D I kept thinking whether you meant "most" or something else ahaha!
We did the repeats, with a new procedure, but we spotted on the wrong plates So we had to repeat the new protocol once more... I think we did everything right this time around, so we'll get results on Monday, and hopefully the results will be good. I'll let you know
Yeah, only 12 days this year, because my last exam was late (Dec 23), then I had to go back to school on Jan 4! DX Yeah you guys are so damn lucky ; _ ;
Aaaah, I concur, yes XD I tend to stay up really late, then uni kicks around the corner and I'm a zombie 'cause I gotta wake up at like 7am, yah XD The New Year always throws me out of any sleeping pattern I have 'cause I stay up to party haha!

That's so awful, even schools here get like 2 weeks+ off and that seems like no time at all since over been at uni ;_;
Aw my sleeping patterns always messed up because of January revision, exams always mean I go out like for new years eve but that's it not again for pretty much all of December or January wahhh I'm so boring

Fufufufufu... it has failed, once again! ; w ; Grieve not! We shall try for the final(?) time! XD ........ so yeah haha. Probably the last mutagenesis we're gonna try, and if we can't get it to work, then we won't bother with it. We wanted it done so we can sequence P.a's DNA, but if not we'll just do RNA seq instead since it doesn't require generation of a mutant pool haha. I heard it's a bit more expensive though, so my prof would prefer to not have to do that I think XD

I think we'll get used to it. I mean, when we start actually working, we won't get these handy-dandy breaks after all. We'll be working the whole year, with just a few days off here and there And I like never go out lol, I'm such a loner XD the type that prefers to be home, with my cat, my computer, and my tablet haha! And if I do go out with friends, I like taking walks and going to coffee shops (extremely boring in their opinion haha!). My behavior pattern is already that of an old lady's

Yeah that's very true! I feel like its different at work cos you get home and you're home, not then having to worry about catching up on notes and revising ;_;

Lol, usually 3rd time's the charm, but it looks like 4th time was. We got it to work with one of our strains but not for the other, so we're just gonna go ahead with the one strain XD
Exactly. I kind of look forward to that. I go to work, do my job, then I come home and (hopefully) don't need to worry about writing reports or whatnot. Just completely put work aside and do what I want haha... because speaking of catching up, I'm in a shit-hole right now, and I'm not sure how I'm gonna manage to catch up, huuuu TvT

You're lucky for that, I'm jealous. I've moved around more times than I care to mention, and because of that I don't have lasting friendships. Contact dwindles over time, even if the other person promises they'll keep in touch. (I'm the desperate one; them? they still have their friends there T-T) My best friend of... what, like, 10 years maybe? is gone. She just totally cut off contact with me gradually until nothing 4 years ago. It's so sad, it still makes me so upset and bitter ; ____ ;
Wow, that took a darker turn, ahem. Anyway, yah, I'll be 22 this year (daaaamn, I'm starting to feel so old, I can't even imagine 50! XD) Yah, I'm broke too, but because of that I've found great activities that I can do for free. Had to find something to do after all. Plus it makes for the best of times in the end And pssh, boring will be the new cool, just you wait for it (Happy very early birthday btw, just in case I forget to wish you on the day itself XD)

And aw that's a shame yeah having always lived in the same place makes it a lot easier. Only 1 of my 3 closest friends moved away for uni but we have a group Facebook chat and she's only an hour away so its ok!
I think people moving away can change them too...I had a good friend at college who moved away for uni and became...well...a total arsehole xD so we don't speak to him anymore tbh

Yeah, you're lucky that even at distance you've managed to keep in touch through the Internet I met my best friend when I was 8, then I moved away when I was 11. She came to visit me the next year for like 9 days. Then we kept in touch for the next few years until she came to visit again when we were 16. She had changed, but at the same time it's like she hadn't changed haha! But things really changed when she went back. Our conversations became nonexistent. It's like the second visit was a 'test' to see whether she still wanted to be friends or what XD There was gradually less conversation even after the first time she visited though, so I probably should've seen it coming I would have been happy to keep in touch (I'm the kind of person that likes to keep her friends lol), but people definitely change, I've seen it happen all too often. Who knows, maybe it's too difficult for them to stay in touch and they prefer to move on with their lives. I have to respect that, even though I may not be happy with their decision

Sometimes I ask myself, Why am I the one stuck writing down the protocol when it's not even my research? Someone's gonna have to double check my crap work anyway XD My weekends are gone from now on, I'm stuck finishing up lab stuff even in the weekends, fml TvT
Haha, yeah, I'm not good with drama at all, so that's what I do at university. I'll meet someone and think 'they're alright' until I realize I really don't like them. So I'll just slowly... drift away (like a ninja lol). Person will get the message yeah XD Are you saying that's what my best friend was trying to do? Though I guess I got the message, but ya know, when someone does that to you after they've stuck with you for like a whole freaking TEN YEARS, that's such a bitch haha.

Yeah that's exactly it. I have a friend from Vancouver Island that I met at the start of uni. We don't talk that much anymore since I'm in Alberta now, but at least we make an effort to text once in a while, Skype during breaks, not just vanish off the face of the Earth lol. And I'm okay with that because I know she's super busy, I'm super busy, we just talk whenever we can, and that's still something
