Well for cosplay your would have to be a little more specific cuz I don't really know what kind of advice your looking for dear lol 

But for cons the best tips I can give is well first of all have fun no matter what! As amazing as cons are there are sometimes things that don't go as planned like maybe a piece of your cosplay falling off or maybe you don't get an autograph from the voice actor you wanted to get one from. Little things like that can happen but just don't get sad or mad, this is your special con day! ^0^
Also try to do everything you can and I would suggest making a schedule, usually cons post the things going on and when, on their website
MAKE SURE YOU GET PLENTY OF SLEEP FOOD AND WATER. a huge majority of the day you will be walking around so make sure you keep your energy!
My last little tip is don't be afraid to ask for pictures!!! Or even asking cosplayers a question In general like how they made a certain part of their cosplay or something! OMG my friends had this problem when they went to their first con with me XD
They would be like
"OMG THAT COSPLAY IS AMAZING!"
"then go ask for a pic!"
"errrmmm naw im too shy its okay"
LOL cosplayers expect it! Its okay! Just be prepared and do know that it is possible for someone to say "no". Maybe they are in a hurry to a meet up or a panel and cant at that moment, or maybe they just don't like taking pics

ew sorry that was like a novel but those are my tips for cons
Idk if your staying a whole weekend in like a hotel or something, if so I have no tips for that cuz I usually only go on Saturdays sorry! XD
