(laughing) I do okay. I have a catalog of over 20,000 poetic works, and I write more just about every day, sometimes multiple pieces when inspired enough. Some people find that...annoying. Thank you for the kind words.

If you check on Amazon or Barnes and Noble, they carry most of my works (I think even a bootleg copy or two of INVOCATO has been auctioned off once or twice. I also have CDs, but I usually only sell those on tour. I have two new books coming out. An unnamed volumes (my editor and I are arm wrestling over the title) in January and "Apokalypsis: The White Sunday Poems" which will probably hit sometime next year. Groups for both will be going up at FaceBook in the near future.
I recommend to the new reader "love gods of a forgotten religion" or "Ronin in the Temple of Aphrodite". "101 Great Love Poems" is pretty much just a marketing conceit, as half of it comes from the panther cycles, which are excerpted for "PanthEon" and can be had in their entirety in "The Compleat Panther Cycles" which can be had as an eBook or off the free fReado link on my website at [link] (I believe I also have the link to "The Morgantown Suite Poems" fReado there) as well as picking up some of the audio from the CDs at [link] .

Well then that doubles the honour. Do you mind if I ask you something? You seem to have managed to make writing and creativity your living. That's what I want to do, above all else. But as I know and have been told, 'poetry doesn't sell' How does one do it? Make art into a living, I mean.

I write and publish, I tour and promote, I charge when I can for readings, sell my own books and CDs at appearances...and I also have a day job, where I leverage my language skills to help companies develop competitive proposals for government projects. The money is pretty obscene and they love what I can do with a verb.

I've heard of writers going to represent companies. I'll probably end up doing the same thing, being honest. Or trying to. But given that I live in Ireland which is doing amazingly shit in this recession, I'll be on the dole (welfare) for a long time. Some world we live in. I'm glad we live in a depressing world though. I mean, what would we write about if the world was neutral and calm?

I agree. I would gladly trade you places to live if I could. I would love to live in Ireland. Trust me, things here in the US are not as sane as they seem, and they seem pretty crazy.
