Only a little bit. I just got back from volunteering today, and the ranger that I was shadowing, had one of the thickest accents ever. Right now I'm just working on figuring out what the hell he was saying.

I was hoping that I would pick up on the New York accent, but instead I was picking up on the southern accent in Washington DC! Horrible!! I was trying to remind myself of how I really spoke. I was really freaking out!

Hey ya'll hyuk hyuk? That kind of southern accent!? I can slip into a southerner's accent real fast...mosty cause my family is a bunch of hill billies on my dad's side.
Which Newyork accent there's like five. Like a Bronx accent (which is fucking sexy), brooklyn accent, manhatten, or statten island, or a Queens accent? (XD jkjk)

I was in Manhattan, so probably a Manhattan accent. But what's the difference between them anyways? And the accent I was trying not to but was slightly getting a hint from is more of the southern-eastern Ebonics accent. Sort of sassy.

Queens accents sound sassy, da bronx accent is like a tough guy accent...very mafia-y, then manhattan accents are more like in-a-rush kind of accents XD

Did you know that sometimes I'll have a bit of a California accent? Anyways, which Australian accent are you sort of kind of picking up on? (Guessing that there are multiple Australian accents. The queensland accent, I'm guessing the most subtle one of them all.

Really I can't tell that u have a californian accent. I think it's because I'm used to hearing
a Sanfrancisco kind of accent more than an LA kinda accent.

Yeah, wasn't that video awesome! I guess I have a general American accent which I am happy about (rather have that then a southern accent). I am taking linguistics this semester (for general ed & my interest in Neuro-Linguistic-Programing) so hopefully I'll learn more about the topic of accents. I've always wondered how the American accent has sounded to others. When I watch youtube videos of British attempting an American accent, they usually do it in a southern tone. And that totally sucks! Do we all sound like rednecks to others!? Horrible!

That's cool your taking linguistics, I personally would die of boredom in that class though! XD
I'm taking a class of Anthropology for general ed here, I have to do fieldwork in a public area and write about my observations of the "culture". Also to write about how my current beliefs would affect trying to understand another culture's beliefs @_@ confusing I say~. In order to learn about anthro I must unlearn what I have been taught b4 XDDDD
Well southern accents do seem the easiest to imitate since they're so exaggerated sounding. Although I've seen some non-americans imitating Chicago accents.
