May I ask, what do you use for your embroidery? I really would love to do some embroidery, but all the embroidery machines I've seen have been hella pricey ;v; Is there an alternate way to do it or something?

Oh yes! ^u^ I do all mine by hand so it takes a hella long time omg XD I'm glad you wanna try something hands on! <3 Trust me, its a lot more rewarding than drawing something >u< You can make your characters come to life it's honestly an amazing feeling!! <3

So I use embroidery thread (also called floss) ^u^ And aida fabric (perfect for cross-stich/beginners). It also makes it easier to convert your own pixel art into an embroidery! ;v; (kEEP IN MIND THE CANVAS TO MAKE THAT WAS 30X30 PIXELS XD So by tiny, I mean tiny!! >U<)

So I'd recommenced picking up a couple colours (I'm in Australia and a huuuge blob of it costs $0.70AUD so it's really cheap! You can see here what one pack looks like and it goes a long mile doing little things like I do sta.sh/2101ug73l1in?edit=1 ) and practising doing cross stitch! ^u^ It's easy to learn and once you get a rythem going you'll be able to do it pretty fast! ;v;

Ahhh that's awesome! And yeah, I actually have made a couple tiny clay sculpts and a plushie of my characters in the past, and it really is so rewarding >w<

Which type of aida fabric would you recommend? Idk what I can get from here, (I'm in Finland) and I have no idea what different types there is ;v;
Also, is an embroidery hoop absolutely necessary for these, or can it be done without?

I honestly know nothing about cross-stitching, so do you perhaps know any tutorial to get me started on this?

I'll probably take it up soon, I'm feeling really motivated~ <33 And at least it's cheaper than making plushies, which I am also currently practicing! UvU

I believe there is only one type of aida! ;v; I guess the only thing that changes is the cross stitch spacing ;v; This is the one I use the dimensions are on the photo ^u^ www.spotlightstores.com/sewing…

Aida is very stiff you wont need a hoop dw XD I bought one just in case! ^u^ If you don't want to do cross stitch I recommened using cotton fabric (not very good for beginners!) with the hoop to hold it tight as its floppy ;v; Again, it's 110% not needed for aida not in the slightest XD It would honestly ruin the fabric tbh omg XD 

This is a good tutoiral just found it ^u^ My mum taught me but I think this will be easy for you to work with >u<
(Also you dont need to 'double up' the thread. aND DO NOT TIE A NOT LIKE SHE DOES WITH THE NEEDLE! As the weight of embroidery thread is thick, leave the tail loose but theres a fair length so it wont get lost. You just need to grip it at the head of the needle so it doesnt fall off ovo Might be a hard thing to get used to but if you can learn this early it'll save you >U<) www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ogAHw…

Awesome he he <3 Yeah I started doing this because I loooooooove working with a needle but plushing is to complex and expensive >u< This is really fun and relaxing for me to do >U< 

Also dont worry if you stab yourself with the needle over and over XD Making this I stabbed myself at least 10 times omg XD
