I started little etsy shop with a friend, selling soaps and crochet bracelets, and trying to focus a bit more on art and writing,

I can imagine
 I rarely use my facebook and do not have any other really, but I know people that check the social media every few minutes (you’re so right, they are so addictive!) and cannot live without ‘likes’ because it gives the (false) sense of approval.

Really? I read on Quora that this (the toxic effect of social media) has also made several other people quit. I guess some people started to realize that perhaps social media is not for everyone. I honestly feel that way - and now I feel much better because I can really manage interactions with sincerity now, compared to those days when I was too busy searching for that (false) sense of approval.

BTW forgive my awfully late reply. Things have been pretty roller-coastering in my life, I am still catching time to breathe and to think and actually do something LOL

I think more and more people quit social media because they recognise how toxic it can be for their life.  

Don’t worry, about replying late, I am not as often here as I was before and I understand that sometimes we need to take things slowly to make it right

I think, once I begun to understand why I am the way I am, the biggest challenge was to start liking myself. Since then, I do not need approval of others as much as I did and so, I feel more free
