# About me
Now there's a deviantART club that caters to obscure and arcane prehistoric animals. . You won't find "popular" critters such as Tyrannosaurus or Triceratops We intend to make an effort to focus on lesser known creatures, such as Stahleckeria potens, Shokawa ikoi, or Opabinia regalis for example. The organisms can be either plant or animal.
Anyone interested is free to join, and please inquire about available club positions!

I have the same problem: lastly I can't submit anything, just appears a message saying that I don't have permission.

Yeah, and I actually contributed art here successfully in the past, but now I can't.

Can I submit microbes, fungi or lichens too?

Only if they are reconstructions of fossils.

By all means, please do.

Because this group doesn't have the feature that lets you submit to different galleries yet.

Hi! I wondered if drawings of the more or less famous creatures from the Burgess Shales would be accepted here?
Because, even though they are known for their evolutionnary interest, they are not really known by the public...
Examples would be Anomalocaris, or Sydneiya inexpectans.
I am currently preparing a series of artworks specifically on this discovery, and I really need critics about the accuracy of my reconstructions, so I need them to spread a bit
π: 0 β©: 1
avancna In reply to Djigr [2013-10-16 20:27:38 +0000 UTC]
We'd be delighted and honored to accept them. Β Mostly we want to avoid rehashing the plastic Stegosaurus/Brontosaurus/Tyrannosaurus versus Triceratops art cliches.

I see, thank you very much! I will submit them here then

So none of your links on Theriodictis worked. I was wondering if you knew where I could find some good ones? If not, can you tell me what you know about Theriodictis' paleocology? I haven't been able to find much on the internet about it.

Thanks avancna. I'm familiar with the first one, Theriodictis was only briefly mentioned in there and it focused mostly on Dusicyon and Canis nehringi. The other one about Protocyon I haven't yet read though.

Maybe this could help a little, too.Β onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10β¦
From what little I could glean off the internet, Theriodictis was a wolf-sized (hyper)carnivore closely related to bush dogs and Protocyon

I'll look at it. The last one you sent me was at least helpful in giving me an idea of the size of the two animals, which was something I didn't really have before. "Between a fox and a wolf" was the best I could get. lol

I would err more towards wolf, then.

Hello!
Wonderful idea.
Please tell me if one can became a member before he/she submits his/her first "rare fossil" artwork on DA?
And please clarify if the limit of three submitions per week sets a maximum or a minimum activity level for club members?
Regards,
Andrew

You can become a member by pressing the request to join button. You can submit to the gallery after you become a member. The limit is three submissions per member per week.
