I wish I knew you, but from what I've seen, you're one of the brightest stars out there and even though you aren't physically here anymore, you'll continue to be a beautiful guide to the people who are still here. So please continue to shine upon us and know that even for someone like me, who never knew you until today, you're as brilliant as they come. Sweet dreams, dear. You deserve it after everything. It was an absolute honor to have known you. You were one of the most supportive and caring souls, right from the start.
I will forever remember you for the ever-present kindness that shown through every shared post and comment, and the consistent support of my work in my earliest days as a poet, when i was still exploring with my writing style. Just always being there to offer an encouraging word, and your unyielding strength and light. I am so grateful I got a chance to see and connect with you through our shared love for words. Thank you for spreading so much joy and kindness all around. I miss you dearly. May we meet again someday. β€οΈ

I can't even believe the news of hearing of your passing when I signed in today. You inspired me in so many ways, and it was amazing becoming your friend as we worked together on various projects. I don't even really know what to say, but I miss you. I hope to see you again in another life.Β

remembering fridgepoetprojecti'm not even sure how to start writing this, and not even sure if i should be writing this in the first place. but i have to try. i just found out that the lovely, luminescent katherine FridgePoetProject passed away a couple days ago. she hasn't been active on deviantart for several years, but at some point in 2017 in a moment where i was reminded of her and missed her i looked her up, certain she was still shining somewhere, and stumbled upon what i believe was her instagram. i messaged her at the time telling her who i was and unfortunately never got a response back, but i recognized the strength and serenity of her words and style -- although magnetless -- right away even still. this morning i woke up to two posts from her account stating that she had passed away after a three month battle with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer, one written by her and
katherine,Β thank you for sharing your light. iβm having trouble finding the words to express how grateful i am that you were a part of my life (albeit a digital one, and only for a short time). your fridge poet project opened an entire new world of possibility to me, and your warm words of encouragement and delightfully whimsical presence helped shape my own voice as a poet during my most formative years. i wish i could have gotten a chance to tell you all of this while you were still here, but even as shattered as i feel by learning of your passing i also am comforted by knowing you live on through your poems and comments to me, and that every time i look at my wall of word magnets iβll be reminded of you. iβm so sorry that the last parts of your life were filled with so much suffering. you are such a brave and beautiful soul in the way you embraced it. your memory is a blessing to me and to so many others. thank you for everything, katherine. i hope our paths cross again in the next life. i love you. β₯οΈ
