Ah, Ghosts of Onyx. I read that more times than I can count, especially the final battle. 
Shadow of Intent...I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand it does give insight into the covenant post war, but on the other hand it's rather short but then again it's a Novella.
With regards to the first six novels of Halo, I have read them all. Still slogging through the Kilo-5 trilogy, but putting the last book (Mortal Dictata) on hold because I am enjoying silent storm. Looking forward to halo: oblivion.
Silentium made me feel quite sorry for what the Forerunners have sacrificed to save all of the galaxy.Β
There's still quite a few books in the Halo Series that I haven't read yet, but I'm moving through them one by one at the moment.Β
It might be just me, but I kind of like New Blood (mainly because I like Buck and Alpha-Nine) and Bad Blood.Β
Haven't read Battleborn yet, nor Renegades. But Smoke and Shadow actually sets up the story for Renegades nicely.Β
