i watched a massive amount of youtube videos and just worked as hard as I could on technique. Mark Criley has been immensely helpful. I started drawing in December.

That's good to hear. PTSD is no joy ride, that's for sure. You really don't know how it can affect you till you've walked in those shoes yourself.
