Exactly. Rememberence is all good of course but then again you are remembered for what you did not who you are. Usually what you did is only a little better then the next person's. Do you really want to be remembered for being better?

But you can achieve immortailty just for your ideas... examples? a whole bunch. Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Newton, Einstein and so on...
