Personally, I am also quite used to isolation, considering I have been bedridden for several years now.  I guess that means I am a recluse too, although in my case it is not by choice.  However, I have had a long time to get accustomed to it. 

In fact, I will even admit there was a tiny part in the darkest recesses of my soul that had a bit of a "Aha!  Now you all know what it feels like!" moment when the whole social distancing thing started, as if the world's misery was a validation of my own. 

At least in my case i have always had my wife by my side like a immovable rock, and I have had this place which has been my lifeline.  I totally get isolation though.

naturally, I have written her a few, yes.  For the longest time I couldn't though.  Nothing seemed adequate to express my feelings.  Words literally failed me. 

Then I had a dear friend remind me that I didn't have to create one masterwork that would perfectly express my feelings. I could have many smaller works that just expressed a single perfect moment each. 

It really is true that sometimes "you can't see the forest for the trees," so to speak.  Here are a few of them. There are tons more. Feel free to check them out if you are interested. ^_^
