dear Anete! I was just thinking about you. I never stopped making collages! I'm simply late in submitting my work... as of now, I almost completed the second moleskine of collages (the so called "pink book") but mostly I am making assemblages, which I have never published until now. when I say "assemblage" I mean a collage made of both 2D (flat, as in usual paper collages) and 3D elements. I really love that kind of process, it's free and without boundaries in what you can use and dream of. I use mostly found elements and work with what I have at the moment.

the place you see in the webcam is a favorite stop in the woods for me! I'm glad you can feel the sunbeams and smell the pines, because it's just like that!!

I will send you something by mail on which we can work together ok? that's why I was thinking about you earlier.

Yes, assemblage is fantastic medium!
As art is just my hobby ( I am art history student not professional artist right now), I love making assemblages for mailart. I don't know are you interested in why I'm not submitting my works.. but if you are (hi hi), it's just because studies take all my time. I must write essays, reviews, etc. and there is no time and no feelings/soul left for collages. My only way how I create art now is mailart. It's a good way how to combine communication with my foreign friends and doing/making art. And just for fun I'm trying different mediums, genres and themes in mailart - assemic writing, trashpo  (trash poetry or art made from trash, read - "found objects", artist books, assemblages, digital manipulations and collages of course.
My art always required  very special, very certain mood from me..I must feel something, think about something I want to tell and show others through art. But my life has dramatically changed over last year and instead of expressing my emotions in art,I just want keep it all inside me.

Of course I agree to collaborate with you! And I'm waiting for your art in my postbox! I'm sinking in academic work right now, but as soon as I will have some free time (the end of next week or middle of November), I will send something to you! I remember our previous conversation very clearly and still thinking about theme of my work. Maybe it's time to show something about myself to the others again.! And I think it will only be fair if we both send something on which we both can work. So! No laziness! I'm waiting for your piece and soon you'll receive mine!

that's just what I wanted to hear! I am finishing a rather big piece (for me) and as soon as I'm done, matter of a couple of days, I will start thinking about what I'm sending you.
I think we can go in deeper in the subject of mail art, you have much more experience here than me...
by the way, you know I'm a fan of your work, I told you more than once, so I'm interested in what you say, and I thank you for sharing your reasons with me! I understand very well what you say when you feel you need a certain peculiar "mood" to create. it's quite similar with me; over the years this has evolved and now I have a weird kind of deeper "control" over it, even though this is the worst word ever to talk about it! now when I recognize it, I just try to remove all obstacles in its way to let it flow free without my own intervention because, you see, my life has also changed dramatically over the last couple of years (many many things happened...) but my conclusion is the opposite of yours: I no longer want to keep feelings buried deep inside me, I want them to be free to reach whoever might find something useful in them. the only way I can reach the other though, is only by direct contact: the internet only makes up for the 10% of it when it's a success. mailart collaborations go for about half of the way usually, so I'm very happy to take part in this. so no laziness my friend!

yes; the ever-flowing tide is the texture of existence! there is no good and bad: the sun goes down bringing forth darkness, the dawn comes again restoring light. life is being true to the each of instants, in the "eternal now", without expectations.

in fact, I work in a way subtracting instead of adding. or you could say in an alchemical (so to say) manner: first solve, since the concept somehow arises in my mind coming from a variety of experiences (Yang phase); then coagula, when I try to condensate that which floats immaterially around me into few images that land on a piece of paper (Yin phase).
the negative space is the space that remains when I manage to concentrate everything as much as I can in those few pieces. that space is what you can fill with your feelings and emotions, as you experience the work.

no, it's the contrary: it's aggregation of different experiences that lay scattered within me. I realize this is not so easy to explain, but I also guess it's quite a common way of coming to the "creation" of something.
if by "destruction" you mean it in some sort of more material, "physical" way, of taking something and rearranging it in a completely different way (like cutting apart different pictures to make a collage), then it's correct. since original images never match my vision, they have to be dissected and reassembled!
