I have finally decided on the Nikon D100, thanks for all of your opinions! I am also trying to get back to my photography and back here on DevArt. I am terribly excited about v3 and can't wait to see it. I have joined forces with ~the-toasters in order to further my practice and deepen my involvement with DevArt. this was my first attempt at any kind of night photography and i think it turned our pretty well ~ all the more since i was purposely trying to backlight the tree and keep the moon only as a diffused light source.

No, the exposure was pretty easy; I just made sure that the sun was on the other side of the poppy, so that it shined through. Automatic measurements took care of the rest, I don't even remember - I might have turned the brighten/darken-swivel a bit to 'lighten' (nikon 995)
I had more trouble holding the cam and the flower steady; my cam tends to be slow with macro-recordings.

Thank you so VERY much for the wonderfully detailed comment It made my day !!!! Now I want to go out and shoot some photos today. I bought the Sony F707 digital about 2 months ago and I love it. It's a 5 mega pixel and gets great detail.

I like your work. You're quite a talented photographer. And I'd also like to say that I ment no disrespect in my comment on His Sacrifice. I'm a firm believer in everyone being intitled to thier own oppinions... and I felt like a came off as somewhat antagonizing in my comment... so i do appolagize for that. however, I don't like the idea of a very plain image with nothing to support it. that said......you have some amazing stuff here and I hope to see more.

I hate using flsh during concerts so i tried not to move a lot.
I made this one with a little numeric camera, don't know his caracteristics, it's not mine....
