The Xft Hack makes all the AA fonts more uniform and generally better-looking (Or at least that's a point that at least the author and I agree upon). It's certainly not *needed* but it's a very, very nice improvement. Esp. for just being one file in a .tar.gz. Easy to apply.

However, I think I broke it messing around with the KDE3.0.1 Font Installer in the Control Center, because my fonts are now back to just being AA KDE's default way. I'm working on fixing the problem but it looks like for now I'm SOL, gotta find a fix later on though, got lots of stuff to do for now.

the clock said 1:18 or sth. like that.

in europe we don't have am or pm.

the time goes from 0-24.

now it is 02:48 or 12:34 or 23:11.

people still use wmaker? no matter how much i try other window-managers, i just can't get more functionality from any of them. *nix and non-*nix like... and trust me, i've tried them all: gnome, kde, fvwm, twm, the-win95-clone-which-name-i-can't-remem ber, you name it...

hey thanks for commenting on my work. i looked through your gallery, your pencilwork is pretty nice for the amount of time you put on most of them. i don't wanna sound rude or nothin and i'm just tryna say this to help you out, so don't read anymore of this if you don't wanna hear it. you're pretty damn fast with them sketches man! very admirable, but seriously just take some more time on your sketches. the basic appearance prolly looks like the references you used, but you should study more of the actual figure ya know? like how light falls on things and such. stitch is badass dood, i still wanna see that movie. anyway man, keep up the good stuff, i prolly don't know what the hell i'm talkin bout anyway so i'll just shut up now

You can do anything you want with any distro if you feel up to the task of doing some work by hand. I just like how Lycoris Desktop/LX actually has everything working out of the box with the 15 minute or so installation process that's even more simple than Windows to install.

It's not so much that it's a n00b distro that it performs well and I enjoy having a nice, small installation. GNOME2 is all well and good, but while I prefer it a lot, it still match KDE2.2.2 or KDE3 in ease of use. GNOME2 is a at least a bit faster, though, on my K6III-450.
