Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I'll take the suggestions to heart - I have so many books piled up, waiting to be read when I get some free time. I read some Gogol and an exerpt of Dostoyevski last year in class, and found it quite intriguing. I'll have to read more.

lol - can you tell I'm not motivated to write my lit essay? About Huck Finn...whether or not it's a "great American novel." hmph.

Anyways - I'll check out your other stuff later.

Degraded Dostoyevski? Nah. (Actually, that's someone whose work I've been meaning to read for about a year now...) I didn't get the sense of anything being ripped off in the poem. I have a strong desire to reread it, though, for my own sake - see what else I get out of it a second time around or something But I have a lit essay calling my name. *sigh*

thanks for your frank suggestions. It's very much appreciated. I always hate the rhyming part anyway, cos it always give me a sense of constraint. I hope that I can break free from those chains in my next poem.
