F***, you're good. I'm glad you commented my poem and faved it cause I discovered you because of it. And damn, you sure are worth discovering... The way you write it's... it's stuck in my mind, these dark, repeating, ever-changing words, listed in a way that makes the phrases seem alike but have meanings that are worlds apart...

For the first time, I wish I could be english-native so I could have words to describe how deep these poems go inside of me and then- BAM- how they shoot me right in my face. You my friend, got talent. And the guts to admit and say what others can't. Sorry to say this but... Don't you ever DARE to stop writing!

Anyway, now I've read what you have written I can't help but feel like a complete beginner (which I am but I haven't seen myself as one) and I unfortunally have to ask you if you can show me how you do this, maybe teach me a little, but only if it doesn't bother you too much.

I'm waiting for your answer pal, take your time, think over it, but hit me back and don't leave me hanging there... like too much people do.

Oh, I forgot to ask! What is your native language?

Hey, wow! Thank you so much for your compliments, they really mean a lot to me, to hear someone inspired by my writings. I've loved to write ever since I was a kid and poetry just seems to come naturally to me.

I would love to teach you, if only I could pinpoint how I do it. I believe God has given me a gift and it has been used at times in my despair to make poetry that is just absolutely dark and strange...though I believe He uses those dark times to teach me about Himself.

What is your taste in music? I listen to rock, mostly, but I do dabble in other genres. My favorite artists are Project 86, SoaD, and Dead Poetic. If you read the lyrics to some of their songs, you might find my source for inspiration.

At a point in time I used to hear a line or a phrase in a song that would stick in my mind, inspire me, but I would fail to follow it up and exploit it. I've learned that sometimes these are concepts and ideas that just need to be continued and explored. The next time you listen to a song or a poem, try and find a phrase that is just so unique or poignant, that it begs you to write and describe it in better detail (I'll give you an example in a later message if you want).

Another exercise I find helpful is to write parodies of songs you just can not stand or even songs you love. I wrote "Super-Cali-Fragile-Lipstick-Eight-Speed-Alley-Dosage" as a parody of Mary Poppins' "Supercalifragilisticacpialidocious" and another one parodying B.o.B.'s "Airplanes" song (I actually love Mary Poppins, but I really dislike most pop music). I think this will help you to learn the rhythm of poetry. By figuring out what words can be substituted for others, but still be sung in the correct rhythm.

Sometimes my most insane poetry I discover in the shower, haha, humming some tune in my head. Some people might consider it embarassing if that were discovered of them, but I plead insanity, I am completely insane. If you discover some random tune you've made, put words to it, even while you;re still in the shower and don't stop singing it until you find a pen and paper. Even if it makes no sense whatsoever.

One secret I have is just to be insane. A mad poet insane. Just say what comes to your brain and seems to make no sense, but, hey, maybe it does. Think the opposite of what is expected. Say the inverse of what you want to say. That's how some of my poetry is born.

Hopefully, you are able to find something helpful here. Of course, this is not a list of things you need to do in order to write an awesome poem or become me or anything, that I'm sure you can do all on your own, it's just a catalyst to give you a little push. Each person has to find their own way that works for them and develop their own style, find their own voice, but there's no harm in getting tips from other writers, it can only help you.

I feel a hefty responsibility to you now, haha. I'm learning myself and I hope you won't be discouraged if nothing that works for me works for you. If you love to write and want to write, like you told me, DON'T stop writing. It's a daily learning thing, it takes practice, Rome wasn't built in a week, as they say.

Don't know if this is what you had in mind, but feel free to ask me anything or for other ideas on inspiration or technique. Thanks for your compliments! And I look forward to seeing your future works!
