Hi! i never realized how much the hatter gets out there at WDW! im a resident here in Florida as well! i reallyy want to go now lol xD. all those pictures of Savannah with the hatter are the cutest things ever! do you ever record her with the hatters?

Hi Pinkie! We LOVE being locals of WDW - it has really been an experience watching my daughter grow up there! Hatter doesn't really "get out" at the parks much as in being able to meet guests, we have just been very fortunate to have been asked to meet with him on several occasions (we usually don't ask, he asks for us) but he is in the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom and that takes place 3 times a day, and he is in the current day parade as well. The current day parade ends in December and there will not be a day parade until spring when they introduce a whole new parade.

I have never recorded her when she meets Mr. Hatter, but I wish I had! They have had some really entertaining conversations! We do so love him!

I used a pattern by Period Impressions -- Girl's Walking Dress -- I think you can only buy theit patterns online, but there are several online vendors that sell it. I shortened the length (by a lot! The pattern is almost ankle length!) And I made up the pattern for the apron on my own. I am currently making a new dress with the same pattern but making the skirt fuller.

Sewing by hand -- ick! I avoid it as much as I can! I will sew costumes with my sewing machines until the cows come home, but if I have to hand sew I will put it off forever. Case in point, I have a pair of pants that needs a button replaced because my dog chewed it off -- my dog died over two years ago and the pants still need a button replaced! :D (Big Grin)

I'm sorry your dog passed away, but that story is too funny! I finished that sewing project and it turned out decently, but now it's time to move on to another project. :D (Big Grin)
