people don't seem very interested in looking at my paintings.. how do you get people to have a look... is it just luck? if someone likes the look of something? I would like to hear more comments/ advice

You have to befriend the people who's work you like.
They'll come back to your page and have a look.
Also join some clubs...I recommend Traditional Artists and Painters club and then whatever you like, there are thousands of them...infact I'm gonna send some of your work to these two clubs now x

i'm still getting used to this. At the moment I've got time off work so I'm doing 3 portrsits of kids. i don`t know what to do for the backgruonds though ... leave it plain colour or do something. I lost my usB yesterday so I`m really pissed off coz it had all my info plus all my photos`. I`m trying to decide what to do next... I`m thinking birds... especially humming birds... there`s loads of mystical painting stuff here but I`m crap at that kind of thing lpus I've got no imagination and I don`t know all the symbolism so I`ll just stick to reasonably realistic for the meantime I guess.
