Thanks for the comments I did try doing what you suggested earlier this afternoon ... rendered at 6666x5000 at 300DPI, then took it and resized it down to 1600x1200, but it looks exactly the same. It seems that the higher I turn up the res, the blurrier it gets.

Well, the colors in the background that I'm using are the colors that I've used throughout the comic to "represent" that particular character.. So Dawn was black and purple, and Chari is purple, red, and blue.

And her symbol is 'song'. I thought I pointed that out, but there's a distinct possibility I forgot.
