i don't know how many of you guys are from the UK but i just found out some bad-news:
rich taylor, one of the best rollerbladers ever from the UK and also one of the cooleset guys you could meet has just had an accident. he hit a concrete lampost and was left with 2 broken legs, a fractured skull and hes now in a coma. his dad is quoted as saying 'we need a miracle'

I heard about that. They turned off life support didn't they? It is so sad. I didn't know who he was until I was told he was the guy who did such and such in whatever video but it still saddens me. I guess rolling gives you a connection to people you don't even know.

id looked up to him since i was a grommit. id met him a few times. he came to our park one time for a profile in Unity and just destroyed everything. later i met him at a few demos, and the Liverpool IMYTA. he was always happy and smiling and ive never met anyone with so much energy. can't imagine him dead really

Man... I don't know how to express how I feel right now. I guess a guy with that much energy wouldn't want you to stay sad though... In typical roller style he'd want you to go and rip up every rail, every park, every bit of anything skatable to the best of your ability... And have a good time doing it. And yeah... There's many people from my life that have died that even now, like 5 years on I cannot imagine dead... It sucks.

I left the skating scene for a while but i'm back now. I'm moving in less than a month so i'll probably start taking my camera everywhere and more than likely take some skating pictures.

Been skating since 1993 - 2000 then painfull operation on both my knees.
Recovery for about 4 years and got into rollerblading again a couple months ago.
