INVITATION
INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF PORTRAITS AND CARICATURES "MIHAI EMINESCU”
- Cartoonists Association of Romania is preparing a major exhibition EMINESCU.
- We invite you to participate in this cultural project.
For this you need to send the portrait or caricature of Mihai Eminescu ([link] )
- All drawings from [link] will be exhibited.
- It also will print a catalog of all drawings from exhibition. The catalogue will be send to all participants.
- Digital art must be 300 dpi resolution and size 21x30 cm or greater.
- It also send the photo and a brief biography. They will be printed on the album.

Inspiration comes very randomly. I don't actively look for it, it just comes from anything really, for instance browsing other people's art. Sometimes I see something on TV or an ad or the internet, and get the inspiration to do something of my own. Can't really tell you more than that, except that you can't force it 
Check out [link] which is mainly a photo manipulation site, or that's what it's known for, but it also has an illustration section along with photography, text and much more. That site has been great to me and gives me inspiration.

Thank you very much for your advice! I'm taking many people's advice and it's not the first time that I heard not to force the creativity. I just hope talking to fellow artists will help spark my inspiration. I will check out the website as well. Maybe I'll find something

waow how do you do all these paintings in PS 7 ? painting over the original pic. or just looking the original pic and draw on an empty layer?
I wanna do some works like these but I havn't discover the way yet.

I draw on empty layers in photoshop, looking at the original pic for reference. There are many ways of approaching it I guess. Some start with a pencil sketch or something and then add the colors, I like drawing the base colors first and then add colors...if you're really interested in how I do it you can pm me, but I'm pretty sure you'll figure it out

so yeah...um...definitly devwatching you because you do phenominal digital artwork. and when i say phenominal i mean skull blowing, eye exploding, liquifying my mind as i try to comprehend how, at the same age as me, you are about a zillian times better than i am. yup...definitly want to get them updates whenever you load a new pic so my eyes may feast. laters!
