Oooh, deviantart drama! Man, I didn’t realize that it was still 2012 and we deal with our relationships like we’re at a 7th grade dance! Don’t mind if I do, I love me a good throwback. Here, lemme set the stage:

It’s a 7th grade dance. Underwater themed. We’re cool enough to be here since 6th graders are too scared to show up BUT you still gotta hang out around the edges of the cafeteria because 8th graders are scary.

My hair is somewhere between a bowl cut and a bob, glasses too thin for my face, and who let me try to put on eyeliner? But god damn if I’m not the cutest thing having matched the band colors of my braces to the colors of my purple spotted babydoll top. Probably Arizona brand. Probably right out of the JCPenny junior section. My shorts and white leggings underneath them are also from the same section, if you’re looking to complete the look. But no shoes, because, you know, it’s just as you do.

You come up behind my group of friends as we’re gathered in a circle jumping up and down dancing to Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, the song of the year. Brave of you to not come with any friends - usually people are self aware enough to come up on their own.

You look a friend of mine in the eyes. “Karma is a bitch,” you say, squeaky voice struggling to sound as proper and prissy as you can.

I look back at you, smirking.

“Karma is a bitch, but you’re an even bigger one.” The crowd goes wild. You probably go on to say that whole thing about how a bitch is a female dog, a dog barks, bark is on trees, trees are part of nature, and nature is beautiful so I just called you beautiful.

Head high, your refusal to be self aware burning brighter than the disco lights someone bought at Walmart, you go back to hanging out next to the bathrooms with that other weird kid.

But god DAMN if you didn’t just get us soooo good.
