I don't! I have a regular job and draw on the side (after work and weekends). It would be nice to do this professionally, but I don't think I'm quite there yet. My design work needs a bit more fine-tuning and my line work needs a bit more varying. As the old saying goes: Practice! Practice! Practice!

So embarrassed about that. I should have used my time MUCH better than I did. Its a total fail, in my opinion. The front is fairly simple, but instead of a full chest insignia, its more of the classic Bat-logo in the oval. If I have time, I'll work on a front view and post it here.

Hello do you mind my asking how you learned to draw so well?

Oh, I don't mind at all!
Unfortunately, it isn't something mind blowing or insightful, its simple practice and commitment to that practice. I signed up for art challenges and there was a time that I was unemployed for almost a year, so I drew something everyday for over six months of that time. Finding 'progress' posts here on Deviantart or other blogs helps, it allows you to try their 'way' and see if it can work for you in some way or another. I seem to pick up at least a new way to do something every....six-to-eight months out of the year. And finally, since I do digital only, the programs I use allow me to 'fix' or go back (within reason) and try again, without completely starting over, not that doodling or brainstorming won't get you new ideas or new ways of doing things, its a good fix if you are adamant about finishing something in the moment.

Awww, man! Thanks for those kind words! You know, I started doing this because I had lost my job and went almost a year without one. I hadn't picked up the pencil in a while (or more consistantly) and the time allowed me to draw almost everyday. I appreciate the time to work on these redesigns and I'm estatic every time people reblog, leave a comment (good or bad), add to their favs, and ask to be featured. It feels like I'm doing something right, for my little corner of the world.

Aw man! But maybe, perhaps its the film gods way of telling to check and double check your shots for a better one? I've had projects go belly up on me mid-work and forced to restart and let me approach it differently or go in another direction which made the overall piece better.
Its a good thing, frustrating yes, but good in the creative mind set of things
