Those in storage represent work which i am not as proud of any more. Work which I feel brings down the quality of some of the others. Plus, they are mostly just older versions of work which has since been updated.

If you dont mind me asking, How did you go about creating the "event horizon" for your gate? in 3ds max?

It's exactly as you might expect it to be. Rather than use a plane, I actually used a cylinder. I gave it a high number of faces and added a direct light head-on for the specular. From there it was a matter of getting the right shader/texture.
And yeah, done in 3ds Max.

thanks, i know it couldve been done better but with the constraints of a single period a day for one week that was the best i could do, still my fav though cuz ive always searched the web for something like that, found an atlantis dhd simulator but it was just the computer screen and u had to know proper addresses to get it to work

It's doin' pretty good... got a lot of it rendered... the splash is nearly impossible to do without realflow x_x
I rendered one of the splash tests, it looked ok... but after 10+ hours of rendering the splash turned out to be coming out at an angle >_<
