“Wesolowski to the bridge, I repeat- Wesolowski to the bridge. It’s urgent; there’s someone we’d like you to meet.” Says McCrea Into his comm on his wrist.
“Affirmative, Captain. Heading up now. Mar out.”
I half run, half walk to the bridge, feeling nervous to meet this strange entity Captain just told me about. As I scan my hand and enter the bridge, the sight that beholds me upon entering just about stops my heart. Before me are all five EVE Probes (EVE, Aya, Rio, Rose, and Sage) as well as WALL•E, Brian, and Sobrinah plus Captain McCrea, whom all look rather serious.
“...hey everyone, what’s the commotion? Sorry I’m late, I got here as fast as I could, I was on the other end of the Ax-“
“Mar, relax! You’re fine” says the Captain. “There’s a Probe here that was sent from the Supernova on a two year scout mission. Her name is MARA.”
“MARA?” I ask
“Yes, MARA. Her name stands for Mineral Assessment Rock Acquisition.”
“Oh wow...” I trail off as I slowly turn my head to the Probe in the middle of the room.
Approaching MARA with caution, I introduce myself. “Marianna Wesolowski. Superior One of WALL•E , EVEA-H One: Captain of Axiom’s Directive Team.”
I extend my hand, but she doesn’t take it. “Hmm that’s odd” I think inwardly as I retract my hand.
“Hello Marianna Wesolowski. My name is MARA. MARA, Probe One.”

MARA, Rock analyst Probe one out of seven, is sent by the Captain of the Supernova to the Axiom to check the rock and land sediments that are helpful to their environment, and identify and scrap those which are harmful. The plan behind MARA’s mission is to scout for these rocks and sediments, then bring all information back to the Supernova, where actions will be taken to improve their area.
MARA is very hostile (more so than EVE was prior to meeting WALL•E) and defensive. Designed to camouflage as a rock when in resting form, the Probe is ready for any situation- combative or not. The majority of MARA’s hostility unfortunately is derived from her past. Haven just exited an abusive relationship about a year before this mission, she’s extremely edgy, and constantly on the lookout.
Shortly after Marianna introduces herself, WALL•E makes a noise of awe, and MARA draws her cannon on him. This sets everyone (especially Eve and Mar) on edge, and McCrea falls it a night for the new guest.
MARA’s model is one level above that of an EVE Probe, and one below the ERIC units, making her the second most advanced model of probe droid created.
