I think it's because there are a lot of instances in the show where an engine backs onto trains or other engines at high speed. I guess it can be harder to remember a certain one because of this.

They should invest in either slower engines or better brake shoes. I now see why there are class 08 shunters everywhere, since they go 15mph. and have very rigid brake blocks!

Yeah, it would be nice if there was at least one more female diesel. We have a truckload of female characters, all of them steam-powered. It's sad that we only have 2 female diesels. Well, Rusty was called a female in some episodes. I wouldn't be too disappointed if Rusty actually was a female.
