Description
After the ordeal knockout and Kayla went through with minerva, they were forced to stay apart from one another which was hard for Kayla, and for knockout. It was hard for him not to see her and he had to rely on the kids telling him hows she is. In the beginning Kayla would make little recordings so miko could show him, just talking about school and how much she missed him, and then slowly she stopped doing it. Over time he started to worry that she had forgotten him and decided to see her behind ratchets back.

Ratchet is working at base helping fowler with decoding artifacts found in Egypt, while working, Ratchet tells the bots that they need to go to cybertron to assist ultra Magnus get more info about the relics at Iacon.
Knockout ans smokescreen both stare at ratchet
Knockout: And us?
Smokescreen: what are we supposed to do?
Ratchet: you both are going to stay here and help me here.
Smokescreen makes a face
and knockout rolls his eyes
Knockout: I have been cooped up here for three months, just being everyones Gopher!
Ratchet: May I remind you that you are under probation? you are not allowed to go outside of this base for any reason unless its to do patrols which you have a partner go with you, or to get me items for Cybertron.
knockout crosses his arms and stays silent
Ratchet: Smokescreen go grab me specimen 2 from the artifacts room
Smokescreen: Ughhhhhhhhhh why me? Make knockout do it, he's your assistant isn't he?
Knockout: Im busy at the moment
Smokescreen rolls his eyes, sighs once more and walks off to go grab the artifact
knockout suddenly had an idea: Im going to go make sure he doesn't break something
Ratchet waves his hand in a go then motion
Knockout follows smokescreen
as smokescreen walks out of the room, he's immediately grabbed and pulled into a nearby room

Knockout covers his mouth: Be quiet smokescreen! do you wanna get out of doing this work or not..
Smokescreen slaps his hand away and looks shocked: huh, never thought you'd be the one to get out of doing work... what's the catch??
Knockout: listen, I've been cooped up here for three months, and I need to go see Kayla.
Smokescreen: I dont think that's a good idea, didn't they say you were under that probation thingy and can't go out?
Knockout: Yes, but they said I can have a partner with me to go on patrol. all you need to do is just annoy ratchet to the point where he just kicks us out and makes us go on patrol
Smokescreen: how do you know he will send both of us??
Knockout: because your not trusted either, plus I heard you almost got into it with a human on the road...
Smokescreen: rookie mistake.... besides, what's in this for me? your always mean to me
Knockout: that was a one time thing! you broke my buffer!! which was very hard to get ahold of

Knockout: I...Im sorry for being mean to you...even if you did deserve it... but please... I just want to see if Kayla is okay....shes still in school so I may be able to see her...

Ratchet takes the item and continues to work, then knockout winks at smokescreen to let him know about the plan.
Smokescreen: huh, soooooo what's this do
he begins to play with random items on the desk, and picks up a drill, he then unknowingly turns on the drill and in surprise drops it on the floor as its skidding around
Smokescreen: Oops! I got it
he chases it trying to shut it off
ratchet immediately yells: Becareful with that smokescreen!
knockout looks at smokescreen and the drill situation and smirks
all of a sudden as smokescreen is trying to get the drill he hears a crushing sound
he looks down and realizes he just stepped on it
Ratchet looks furious: I NEEDED THAT
Smokescreen: sorry doc, let me fix it
he then picks it up trying to attach the drill bit to the base but makes it worse
ratchet: give me that before you damage it more!
knockout: he can help me with the other artifact
Ratchet quickly turns around: NO!... I mean, that's not necessary, besides.... uh.. you two are going on patrol! I need concentration and I can't focus when one of you keeps messing with things and the other is just sitting there doing nothing.
Knockout: fine then, smokescreen lets go.
smokescreen transforms they both drive off.
fowler then walks in as they leave and has a convo with ratchet about how everything going.. keeping him busy

he laughs
Knockout: haha yeah, well Im going to the school
Smokescreen: should I go orr...
Knockout: we should split up, and we can meet as the human food place where jack works
smokescreen: will do, ive been wanting to drive around by myself for once, see ya!!
smokescreen speeds off in the opposite direction and knockout heads for town.
Knockout begins to think to himself: I hope she's okay... what if she's forgotten about me.... she is probably happy im not around anymore...
No..She wouldn't do that... but then again, she doesn't keep contact with me.. and she doesn't make me personal videos anymore...
he arrives at the school and begins to worry and feels like this is a bad idea.. but he sucks it up and parks by the front, and steps out of his vehicle mode in his haloform hoping she would see him..
As the students begin walking out, he begins to worry again because she isn't there.. just as he's about to walk back.. he hears a familiar laugh.. he turns around and sees her walking out with her friends... but he notices that she has more friends..and she seems different from before..
a sad expression washes over and he thinks that she has forgotten about him, he stares at her as she's giggling and chatting, when all of a sudden she looks up and sees him.. her face instantly goes into shock, she then snaps out of it, she tells her friends goodbye and once they turn their backs and walk around the corner, Kayla looks back at knockout, he looks at her thinking she will leave with them, but to his surprise, she runs to him, almost tripping and jumps into his arms putting her legs around him as well to keep her at his height. he embraces her and holds her tightly
Kayla: I missed you! so much knockout!!
knockout: I missed you too, I thought you forgot about me...
Kayla lets go and looks up at him: Forget you? are you kidding? you've been on my mind everyday!
Knockout: then why did the videos stop...
Kayla: well... after everything had happed, my phone was taken, and I couldn't go see miko,jack and rap... it was only school and work and that was it.. so I would have jack or miko record a video of me during the school day, but because I got so busy with everything... I didn't have time to go and see them.. but knockout....not a day went by where I didn't think of you.. I thought of sneaking out to go to the base... but I couldn't do that to my parents...last time really scared them..
knockout: I understand.. and I feel the same way... I kept believing that you forgot me.. and just wanted me out of your life..
Kayla hugs knockout once more in reassurance: Never... these past three months without you and the bots have been hard.. also... how did you manage to sneak out to see me? jack told me you were being monitored?

Kayla gets excited: Awesome! im gonna take you to this popular clothes place, I wanna dress you up!
Knockout: ahhh, now im scared, but remember Im supposed to be patrolling, so we can go to the mall, then you can join me on an actual patrol for a bit, then I can drop you off

Kayla: fine, but how do you feel about a red plaid shirt, jeans and cowboy boots?
Knockout: I dont know what plaid is, but if its red then im fine with it.

Kayla laughs, he looks over at the laughing girl, smirks and gently touches her face almost lovingly, and takes his thumb and quickly smears her perfectly lined pink lipstick off her lips and onto her face
she looks at him in shock, he looks like he was electrocuted and she looked like a toddler who's bad at applying lipstick, and they both begin to laugh because of how ridiculous theylook
