This year's Beltane , for the first time, featured a group of storytellers striving to explain what the hell was actually going on to the assembled crowds - or mostly to explain what was about to go on, actually, which is even better.

They didn't always find it easy to make themselves heard, but they looked amazing and did a great job of narrating. I know that a lot of people came away saying things like 'I've been along repeatedly but for the first time, I actually got what was going on!'

A great experiment, then, and something to repeat next year (and probably at this year's Samhuinn too, which has had a little narration in the past).
