Description Slowly, my eyes opened. I lifted my head to see bright walls all around me. "Am I in heaven?" I said silently to myself. My train of thought was interrupted when I noticed the banging and chattering coming from a door to my left. "Nope! You're still a few scrapes away from that, Dr. Atom!" I turned to see an insectoid-alien nurse approaching me with a smile. "The operation was a success." She said to me. "....Operation?" I replied, still trying to collect my thoughts. I began to notice a subtle tingling on the right side of my face, all the way down to my waist. It all came back to me. Memories rushed through my head like a stampede. I jolted up and slid my hand down my face, to be met with an unexpected smoothness, as if I was never burned. "Try not to agitate it, Dr. Atom." The nurse said. "Large portions of your body were burned off. We had to use cyber-mesh to patch up what couldn't be repaired. It will still be a few hours before it fully synthesizes with your body, so try to relax for now. Your right eye had also been melted, so we had to replace it with an artificial one. All your injuries have been handled. Expect a full physical recovery in less than 24 hours!"

    "24 hours? That's... amazing."
"Not as amazing as us even having the time to save you. Had you arrived at the hospital even a minute later, you might..... not have made it....."

The nurse became lost into her thoughts, appearing as if she was still processing something. That's when I realized what the sounds on the outside were: The press. Once again, I jolted up and looked behind me to see Sprite, outside her house, and clearly guilt ridden. She was curled up in a corner, facing the wall. "Sprite.... did you fly me here?" I asked. She curled up even more, clearly too ashamed of herself to face me. My surprise due to her presence quickly turned into fear as another one of my memories was restored: She almost killed me. Looking at Sprite, my gut began to ache, and I started to sweat and tremble. I had known Sprite for a while now. But even as I was aware she was a Celestian, her true power never truly registered to me. Not until she put a large gash in my body.

Fear however, would not stop me from saying what I wanted to say, for her. "Sprite.... you saved me." I told her. She stood up slowly and faced me. "Audry, you all were right..... I am dangerous..... I don't know how I can ever live with myself.... knowing what I did to you..." Sprite said as she began to tear up. "Sprite, please. Come closer." I requested, still trying to fight my newly acquired ptsd. "I can't Audry. I don't want to hurt you again." She told me. "Do it for me Sprite, please." I reaffirmed. She slowly and carefully walked towards me with her hands behind her back, until she was right beside my bed.

"I, I flew you here. I'm... sorry. And everybody was staring at me, screaming, gasping.... I, they...... I'm sorry I hurt you Audry. I'm so sorry for everything I did and said, you didn't deserve any of it...."
"You exposed yourself to the public, and gave up your security so you could bring me here. I already know you're sorry, Sprite. And I've already forgiven you."
    "R-really.....?"
"Everyone makes mistakes. But you chose to fix yours. I thought I was going to die, Sprite..."
    "Because of me...."
"It doesn't matter. I'm alive and well, and it's because of you. Your training paid off, Sprite. You flew me here safely, across the sky and through the city. Gently enough to not to harm me, but fast enough to save my life. I'm so proud of you."

Sprite looked down, pondering what I said while I continued. "Today, more than any other day I've known you shows me you can be someone. Don't beat yourself up, Sprite. You're my hero." Sprite lost all of her composure. She burst into tears, sobbing as she flew over me and gave me a passionate hug, dropping glowing tears all over the bed. As she hugged me, my body began cringe in stress. I felt like I was about to pass out. For a moment, I thought I was back in that dark living room, with an angered Sprite's glow being the only thing to light up the room, and later my body.

....... Then I hugged her back. Putting all negative thoughts in the back of my head, I knew this was the moment Sprite needed her babysitter most. I refused to let her down. She eventually stopped crying, and fell asleep in my arms. The nurse picked Sprite up from off my body, and placed her down on a couch to rest, before stomping outside to yell at the press to go away. I lied back down on my warm bed, and stared at the ceiling while in my thoughts. The entire planet now knew a Celestian was among them. There would be much do do going forward. But for the time being, I put myself at ease, knowing I preserved Sprite's belief in herself. Whatever the future may bring will never be enough to keep me down.
