Yes, I thought about that part too, but I wonder how the wedding in the story will go on: Chrysalis need the wedding as Shining Armor does, and won't Chrysalis need Dusk Shine when she send him to the caves; unless she need him later.
Interesting and weird indeed. Dusk fall in love with a bride, who was his babysitter and his brother's future wife.
For your other canon story you propose, I don't know since the main villains are male: Discord and Sombra.
I'm guessing Discord made the girls of the Mane 6 turn against Dusk Shine; unlike in the show, there would be love conflict between Dusk and the girls. Dusk became heartbroken as his love ones, closer than friends, betrayed him.
