Would she? Why?
Violence doesn't start with blood, violence starts with disrespect, insults, bullying, emotional blackmailing (crying for instance, every baby does that and many people do that in their later years still) proceeds over ignoring, slander, defamation and physical force and nears its peak at mutilation and infliction of death.
Note that these things are just examples taken from a vast array of things that makes this world a dark place.
What makes a person "glad" to see violence I wonder?
If I need a compensation for mental state, because I saw too much happiness and cuteness, I go play Gears of War. Or PokΓ©mon, where a huge lizard spits fire onto a small ratlike creature maybe. Or Heroes of Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, where a huge demon wields a fiery sword to evaporate the opposition, leaving a trace of small pyres in its wake. No blood however. Units usually go "poof" in a cloud of smoke.
Still violence.

By all means I wish for everyone to get the most out of the fandom, and that includes the own views and interpretations on canon, headcanon and fanon and beyond.
But I'd be happy if people would not project their views onto public fanart too much. I for one don't agree with all the Chrysalis/Sombra shipping. In my eyes that's mostly a forced "only villains left"-coupling without much background (it was funny to have Sombra call her "Crystalis" and then realizing his, quote: "huge mistake" ... srsly, a genius comic). Yet I don't run around telling people that whereever I see it.
Why I commented here however is, from the entire comic (or rather doujinshi maybe?) so far there was no clear indicator that blood was about to be seen - the tone, style and atmosphere would have perfectly been kept in place without implementing gore at all. So I wanted to let the artist know, that he can perfectly work without. He simply is good enough to create a setting and atmosphere that will remain seriousness without grave dipiction of heavy violence. This is the kind of feedback I wish to give. I may not be artistically gifted, but my best friend is (currently employed as a graphics artist at Forgeworld in the UK) and I have witnessing him grow over the course of 18 years. My lack of skill to create elaborate art does not compromise my ability to point out details in setting, design and metalevels. In my eyes artists need someone to tell them when they utilize more than necessary.
I simply fear that this work of art HERE loses part of its appeal due to profane elements.

I'll call the police to let them know they can let loose all thives and defrauders, since the rapists are clearly worse ... or not. See, I cannot accept that as an functional argument. Because we have seen worse we can tell what things are "bad", although this depends on the situation. A zombie movie for instance will need gore elements, else it's hardly to be taken serious. Nevertheless, imagine you had a kid, aged 7 or 8, who likes to read fancomics as well. The less gore present, the better I'd say. For me, as a father, this is definately a factor. Should you ever have children, you might think alike.
Self-restraint and the ability to relinquish are both virtues.

Well, even in the toon, you never get to see those guards again..You just see them being tossed aside like a couple of rag dolls. And that's it for them. D: As for a kid's show..Luna and Celestia sure did a number on Sombra..Tore him to bits. On screen.

Actually yeah you do. Right as Nightmare Moon slams the doors open when she leaves town hall, you see the guards dazed but seemingly none the worse for wear. But Sombra, yeah... guess them crystals turned out to not be too healthy for him in the end after all.

(Re-watches bit). Oh yeah, you're right. Weird. She has all these darkness powers and such, but she uses a lightening spell to shoo away the guards. I do prefer your version. :3 Makes more sense.
And Sombra..You get the impression that he was doing more than just making his citizens break rocks all day the way Luna and Celestia took him out. No banishment to the moon..No 'zap' and he's good. Just one FINISH HIM aka Mortal Kombat.

Yup. That guard on the bottom has that thing going through his stomach and out his back. You can see it under his wing.

oh snap! Uhh not to be a party pooper but if she has killed those guards then I can't see any way Nightmare moon will be able to be forgiven for her crimes, elements of harmony or no.
Assuming however they are dead. BUT I suppose that if the elements also reverse death then it might be ok.
OR maybe it will just convert them to her or something, IE transform them into those strange bat winged ponies.
