As with each of my contest entries, this one also has special meaning.

I've always loved the phoenix. It symbolizes rebirth and rising up again, even when you've been beat down. In this piece, I used the magic of fire to produce a phoenix, showing that each time we get beat down, we can rise again stronger on the other side. It shows a fighting spirit that doesn't fear what's ahead.
