i interpret this piece as metaphor for the continual hunger of humanity for knowledge. the piece of paper with the text on it really adds to the piece by causing the viewer to redefine their sense of scale, however, and parallels could be drawn with the thirst for knowledge, and how little we actually know.

like a stack of books,
and then the peek of really large text
makes the viewer refocus and adjust their judgement of the scale
I like the way only a bit of it is in focus, and it blurs out
adds to this idea that it is a large stack, but then it is also a tiny stack
a nibble

I love the colors and texture.

The documentation of personal or public activities, articles of witness or general records, eventually amount to what appears, upon casual examination, to be the useful or useless accumulation of accounts, an often abstruse body of material that garners relevance based solely upon the requirements of the reader for this information. The notion of history as an object, whether inscrutable or functional, is most clearly expressed by the presence of a tangible heap, the stack of diaries or folders, the discarded or recently delivered bound mass of newspapers. Unreadable in their current manifestation, these items are incredibly compelling, whether or not they are explored for significance, and produce an effect similar to that of a dim peephole, a black shape without importance to those who have no interest in what is in the room.

Incredible work Luziano.

fantastic. so many underlying themes, of those i'm not sure which were actually intended, but the open endedness makes it all the more lovely. great job

past, present and the future, it is all there, hidden.

an abbreviated history of existence?
this one, more than the rest, stands out as being
architectural. perfect for a library?
walking on carpet patterned with literature.

Great stuff. Looks like something this German (I think) artist did, I forget his name. He made paintings of boats with fingernails and stuff too.
